About artists

Javier Perianes’ flourishing international career spans five continents taking him to some of the world’s most prestigious venues, and to perform with many of the world’s leading conductors such as Barenboim, Dutoit, Dudamel, Mehta, Maazel, Frühbeck de Burgos, Harding, Temirkanov y V. Petrenko, and with orchestras such as Wiener Philharmoniker, Philharmonia Orchestra, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco and Atlanta symphony orchestras, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, London Symphony and Orchestre de Paris, among others. The 2017/18 season includes a series of high-profile appearances with orchestras including Los Angeles Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Wiener Symphoniker, Finnish and Norwegian Radio, Danish National, City of Birmingham and Hamburger Symphoniker, as well as debuts with Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Basel, RTÉ National, Oslo Philharmonic, Lille and Moscow State symphony orchestras. He also tours with the Münchner Philharmoniker and Spanish National Orchestra and performs recitals in renowned venues worldwide. Perianes records exclusively for harmonia mundi. His most recent album with the label was Schubert’s Sonatas D.960 & D.664, and his next release will be in spring 2018 with his recording of Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3 with Münchner Philharmoniker and Heras-Casado.


Manuel Hernández-Silva conducts at important international festivals and he is a regular guest of foreign orchestras. During his career he was principal conductor of the Córdoba Orchestra and for five years he closely cooperated with the Simón Bolívar Orchestra of Caracas as principal guest conductor. He is currently chief conductor and artistic director of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and musical director of the Youth Orchestra of Andalucía.


The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra is a leading Czech symphony orchestra. The orchestra’s repertoire includes symphonic works of various styles and periods as well as cross-over compositions from jazz, chanson and pop music domains. The artistic profile of this prominent Czech orchestra reflects the input of many excellent conductors and soloists, including Jakub Hrůša, Magdalena Kožená, Mischa Maisky, Eugen Indjic and Angela Gheorghiu. The orchestra regularly appears at the International Prague Spring Festival, Smetana’s Litomyšl Festival, Janáček May Ostrava and on their tours they have performed in many world famous concert halls.
