Belfiato Quintet
The music of Czech composers for wind quintet will be performed by the top Czech ensemble Belfiato Quintet – but not only that. This youthful ensemble does not limit its repertoire only to pieces intended for this group, it is not afraid to push the boundaries of interpretation and surprise its listeners. Therefore, the arrangement by J. Pelikán and K. Chudý’s works will also be heard in the famous string quartets by B. Smetana and P. Glass and the Suite from Leoš Janáček’s opera The Cunning Little Vixen. The synagogue will also symbolically honor the memory of Czech composer Pavel Haas, who died 80 years ago in the Auschwitz concentration camp.
