2001
The 2001 International Music Festival celebrated its first-round birthday. Water music for Český Krumlov by F. X. Thuri was to be performed at the beginning of the festival. Unfortunately, a huge storm came before the concert, hail was falling, and therefore the visitors did not see the work written as a tribute to Český Krumlov.
This year, for the first time, another musical genre entered the program – musical. The most famous musical melodies performed by Lucie Bílá and Cuban tenor Moises Parker accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Leoš Svárovský were played in the chateau courtyard. Thus began the tradition to enrich the program with other musical genres, which continues to this day.
