Tomáš Jamník
A performer of classical and contemporary music, Tomáš Jamník studied cello in Prague, Leipzig and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. After graduating he was awarded a scholarship from the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. He spent six months in the USA on a Fulbright-Masaryk scholarship, lectured and performed in New York and other American countries. Since autumn 2024 he has been teaching at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. Winner of numerous international competitions, he has been a guest soloist with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Czech Philharmonic, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra London, among others. Together with Jan Fišer and Ivo Kahánek he is a member of the Dvořák Trio. As a chamber musician, he has performed at Prague’s Rudolfinum, London’s Wigmore Hall and Barbican Hall, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, Katowice’s NOSPR, Salzburg’s Mozarteum and Japan’s Kitara Hall and Tokyo Metropolitan Hall. In addition to the classical repertoire, Tomáš Jamník has also performed lesser-known works and has premiered numerous works by Czech composers. He is also the author of the Serious Interest initiative, which has helped to organize hundreds of concerts at home. He is also the artistic director of the Academy of Chamber Music and the founder and artistic director of the Ševčík Academy in Horažďovice.
Marek Švejkar
A graduate and winner of the Premier Prix at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, clarinetist Marek Švejkar is currently a member of the programme of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. As part of his doctoral studies he is also doing research at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. Marek Švejnar has performed with the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, the North Bohemian Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Jiří Bělohlávek, and in a series of concerts with the Opéra de Limoge, the Ensemble Intercontemporain and the Orchestre de Paris. A graduate of the Academy of Chamber Music, he has participated in summer academies in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, Stavanger, Norway, and the Sibelius Summer Academy in Helsinki. As a lecturer he was invited to the International Clarinet Course in Domažlice. He has collaborated with important musical personalities from all over the world, won many international clarinet competitions and in 2024 released his solo debut album dedicated to the Year of Czech Music.
Eliška Kopecká
Eliška Kopecká, a graduate of the Dance Centre Prague Conservatory, continued her studies at Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, where she studied with Boris Bregvadz in the Department of Choreography and Dance Pedagogy. During her studies she had the opportunity to dance not only in classical choreographies, but mainly in contemporary projects. Currently, she works as a dancer with the opera ballet of the National Theatre and the State Opera. She passes on her experience in training figure skaters and teaching children. Eliška Kopecká cares about the interconnectedness of individual dance styles, the development of dancing and artistic expression.
