Katharina Zauner
Katharina Zauner was born in Austria in 2000 and gained her first musical experience at the age of eight. At the age of ten she started playing the organ at the music school. After being accepted to the Academy for Gifted Students at the Anton Bruckner Private College in Linz in 2015, she transferred to the Linz Music School and changed teachers for organ to Bernhard Prammer (Music School Gallneukirchen). In 2017 Katharina Zauner was awarded the Dr. Josef Ratzenböck Scholarship. She has participated several times in the prima la musica music competition for young people at the regional and national level. Since 2020, Katharina has been studying Organ Performance and Organ Music Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She also gained artistic inspiration from different masterclasses. In 2024 she won the 3rd price and a special price at the Kropfreiter Organ Competition in St. Florian.
