This year’s theme, Muses Inspiring and Creating, will bring 20 concerts in 13 charming locations, 3 of which for the very first time. We will learn what inspired great classical works, and the “Muses” of today will visit Český Krumlov. Opera legend Plácido Domingo will return to the festival as well as Jiří Vodička, the concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic. For the first time in the Czech Republic, an accordionist Ksenija Sidorová will perform with a horn player and conductor Radek Baborák. A dazzling ballet choreography by Jiří Bubeníček will frame the opening and closing concert.
The festival will celebrate the Year of Czech Music in the main and fringe program in the Festival Zone.
